Our seasoned staff utilize N4D's 20 years of research and development in the science of stereoscopic 3D to ensure that every production we support creates the most effective and comfortable 3D possible. The application of N4D's Spatial Template technology, proprietary processes and our team's S3D experience transfer well across all aspects of production including:

Production Consultants and Advisors

N4D understands why different components of movies cause discomfort and others don't and is pleased to support the content creation process at any activity level desired by its client. To ensure the greatest benefit of N4D's expertise as well as consistency in all phases of Stereoscopic 3D creation we suggest our clients engage N4D's expertise throughout the entire creative process from script/screen play revision through storyboarding, production and post.

Pre-Production

N4D's stereographers review our clients existing storyboards to ensure that they properly manage the physical and cognitive complexities of capturing world class, discomfort-free, S3D content while maintaining the director's vision. Some examples of guidance include:

• Managing depth of field issues as well as creating mood through depth script design
  
• Resolving the intricacies of pan rate depending on relative activity
  
• Coordinating with the designers of Sets and Costumes to offer insights on the need to reduce colors with high contrast that could create stereo cross-talk in digital movie projection
• Accounting for mobility issues with certain 3D camera systems

N4D's teams provide the best foundation for shooting at this pivotal point in the production process.

Camera Systems

N4D's state of the art 3D camera rig includes Technica 3D's, motorized, Neutron mirror rig with SI 2K Minis and a matched set of Carl Zeiss Super Speeds. Weighing in at under 35 LBs and with the use of a shoulder rig or the Varios Easy Rig, it is incredibly mobile. The lightweight and small form factor also makes it ideal for steadicam use. The system is rented with a rig tech and can include a camera operator if desired.

  

Director of Stereography

Our highly trained personnel provide essential input into the production process. N4D believes that S3D, like lighting, costume and sound, is a complementary story telling tool and we understand how to exploit it to its fullest. From coordinating with the DoP to support stereo framing and the execution of the depth script to providing input that leaves the editor with options to maintain proper depth during post, N4D'S deep knowledge of Stereoscopic 3D and the filming process allows it to provide quality direction on-the-fly for any stereoscopic capture issues.

Video Post Production

N4D has its own in-house editing bay with full S3D editing capability available to its clients projects. N4D's stereographers can also support the edit process at any facility that our clients choose. In post, N4D's extensive editing experience and intimate understanding of the rules necessary to create comfortable stereoscopic 3D allow it to support the delivery of a final product that takes full advantage of all the production efforts, while compensating for issues that inevitably arise, in a manner that maintains a comfortable 3D experience.
